Subject: Important Security Update for the .NET Messenger Service

"If you are not using an updated version [of Microsoft Messenger], you will be unable to continue using your MSN Messenger or Windows Messenger Service. please visit:
http://messenger.msn.com/Help/Upgrades.aspx for an update."

As if its not bad enough that I have to put up with system tray and messenger spam all the time, now I get it in my Inbox too? In the name of security?

Someone please tell me this is a hoax.
